In the second Christmas Eve message, The Rev. Canon James McCaslin paints a portrait of the parties, family get-togethers, twinkling shops that usher in Christmas. But God comes to us silently in the deep night. We should shiver in anticipation of this. The paradox is that only those who have walked in darkness are ready for the light. What we should give back to God to acknowledge this unspeakable gift is to accept the Son he offers.
