Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 13 | Preacher: David Ball | Series: Trinitytide 2019 | Most every culture throughout history has recognized the danger of human pride.  It is often said that “pride come before the fall”.  Pride is indeed a dangerous human emotion, yet it is one that everyone one of us must grapple with because pride comes from our hearts.  Out of our own sense of pride comes boastfulness, arrogance, and rudeness.  These traits that are generated out of our own pride are the complete antithesis of God’s love.  They are dangerous and unhealthy for us, for the church, and for the world.  In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul’s tells us that love is not boastful, arrogant or rude.  The truth is the Agape Love of God has the power to create in us a true sense of humility that completely neutralizes all our heart felt pride.  Listen to todays sermon and experience for yourself the humility of God’s Agape love for you.
