Bible Text: John 14:27 | Preacher: David Ball | Series: Easter 2019 | The form of polite greetings around the world varies to the point of amusement — sticking out tongues, pressing noses together, bowing. Perhaps the most critical greeting, according to Senior Pastor David Ball, is Biblical–Shalom. meaning be well and don’perish. In Genesis, Joseph’s jealous brothers refuse to greet him thus. Later, Joseph greets his brothers thus. And it is the greeting Jesus uses with his disciples. Here it is used at  its purest and raises up a promise of true peace.
