The Rev. Canon Jim McCaslin reminds us of the chasm between communication as we know it today and as it was present in ancient Rome. The disciples of Jesus locked themselves away after Jesus died to minimize their suspicion as followers of Jesus. This was no barrier to the risen Jesus who just walked through the wall to greet them and let them touch Him. That secret encounter went on to change the world long before Google, Twitter and Facebook.
The Scripture Lessons for the Day were:
- Acts 5:12a, 17-19
- Psalm 111:1-10
- John 20:19-31
