Preacher:
Passage: John 6:24-35
Service Type:

In this message Senior Pastor David Ball  describes a shared experience of those who live in Jacksonville to explain eternal life. Hurricanes are the prompting for the stockpiling of imperishable foods to sit out the storm and its aftermath. And imperishable  food is the very basis of the Gospel lesson. Jesus warns us not to work for food that perishes but rather for the bread of life--Jesus himself. Only belief in Jesus can make us imperishable and this bread that leads to eternity is available to all.

The Scripture Lessons for the Day were:

  • Ephesians 4:17-25
  • Psalm 78:1-13
  • John 6:24-35
