Bible Text: Matthew 6:19-34 | Preacher: Ted Schroder | Series: Trinitytide 2018 | In this message, visiting pastor The Rev. Dr. Ted Schroder explores the paradox of avoiding worry while still preparing for the future, a key teaching from the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus tells us to keep our eyes on the present, instead of expecting that we can plan and worry enough to control the future. Worry, which blinds us to the beauty of the present, is spiritual warfare. We should make good decisions about the future but accept that we are not to be preoccupied with those plans, nor are we to be surprised when we get it wrong. But we will always get it right when we put our full faith in the goodness of of God. For more information about our guest preacher, click here.
