Bible Text: John 13:34-35 | Preacher: David Ball | Series: Easter 2019 | Using Charles Ponzi as an infamous example of promising to give what you don’t have, Senior Pastor David Ball in this message examines our understanding of love, how we identify it and how we share it. Much of our loving is self-centered, like Ponzi with his scheme to always profit from his transactions. But one aspect of love recognized by the ancients and discussed by C.S. Lewis in his book The Four Loves requires sacrifice. Only sacrifice paves the way for the love Jesus requires. And once we’ve received His sacrificial love, we have true treasure to share with others.
